Tutorial Ten

Installing Fonts

In this tutorial you will be shown a way of installing fonts that will not cause your computer and PSP program to slow down and crash.

The thing about having too many fonts installed in C:\Windows\Fonts\ is that every time you boot your PC, Windows loads up all those fonts to use them in applications. This slows down your boot time, and if you are short of memory, it slows down everything you do. Instead, save your fonts into a special folder created for fonts.

My Font Folder is in My PSP Supplies Folder in My Documents.

Fonts Folder

Within that folder are other folders so that I can file my fonts according to type i.e. Fat, Script etc.

Individual Font Types

When you want to use a particular font, all you do is open the font and minimize it to the task bar... it will then show in your psp text box. Simple as that!!

An alternate way of opening the fonts is to use a program like Font Explorer Lite. If you open this program and keep it open while you have your PSP open, all the fonts you have in your folders will be available to use.

You can download this program free Here
