Three Ways with Kang

Three Way Kang

 

What you will need to complete this tutorial.

Paint Shop Pro - I am working in X2, but this should be achievable in any version.

Animation Shop

Tube and Close Up of Choice - I am using the gorgeous work of Olivia. Olivia's work is licensed through C.I.L.M. and you must buy the tube from them to be able to use it.

Filters - Kang Filters Set 2 - Google to find.

DSB - Bright Noise

Gold Gradient or one of Choice if using a tube other than the one I used.

Font of choice - I use Libeled Lady

 

Let's get started

Open a new image 600 x 250 pixels at 72 dpi and flood fill with white.

New Raster Layer - Flood fill with Two Colour Gradient.

Apply Kang 2Luxury Cubes with the following settings:-

New raster layer - flood fill with gradient again. This time apply Kang 2 Mora 5:-

New Raster Layer - flood fill with Gradient again and apply Kang 2 Houdini is only Sleeping:-

Change the Blend Mode of the Mora 5 layer to Screen , and the Houdini Layer to Dodge.

Copy and paste your Close Up and position to the left hand side of the tag. Change the blend mode to Luminance Legacy. Reduce the opacity to about 60.

With your rectangle tool, foreground nil, background your Gradient, Draw out a long thin rectangle . Convert to a Raster Layer, and then apply Effects - Distortion Effects - Warp:-

Position this about 2/3 down your tag.

Duplicate twice so you have three layers. X out the dup;duplicates for the moment . On the bottom layer apply DSB Flux Bright Noise :-

Click the mix button once. Apply this on both the duplicate layers, clicking the mix twice on the middle layer, and three times on the top.

Copy and paste your tube and position as if sitting on the curve of the rectangle.

Apply a drop shadow of choice.

Merge layers visible and right click , copy, un merge.

Add a new Raster Layer, Select All, Modify,Select Selection Borders :-

Paste into selection, selections none. Apply a drop shadow. Change the Blend Mode to Multiply.

Now add your Name, Copyright, License where necessary and taggers mark if used.

If you do not wish to animate your tag, you can merge your layers and save in format of your choice.

In PSP, make sure that you only have the original curved rectangle layer active. Right click into the image and choose the option "Copy Merged":-

Take this image to Animation Shop, right click into the workspace and "Paste as new Animation":-

This will now give you, Frame 1 in AS.

Back to PSP, close off the bottom curved layer and open the middle one, repeat the Copy merged.

Take this into AS, right click into your Frame 1 and choose, "Paste After Current Frame":-

Back in PSP, close off the middle curved layer and open the top one. Copy Merged, and then click into Frame 2 in AS and again Paste After the Current frame.

You will now have three frames in your image in AS.

Click on View at the top tool bar, and View Animation. If you are happy with your Animation , save as a gif.

Now to make an avatar to match.

In PSP, close off all the layer except the three kang layers and the close up image.

Crop to 250 x 250 pixels, then resize to 150 x150.

Merge these layers,copy, then add a new raster layer. Select All, modify, select selection borders as before, and paste into selection. Drop Shadow as before.

Add your name and the copyright information. Save as a jpeg or png to your preference.
