Stained Glass
What you will need for this tutorial:- Paint Shop Pro - (PSP) any version, mine was done in X2 Animation Shop Tube of choice one with a close up works best- I am using a lovely tube by Melissa Dawn . Melissa's work is available from Creative Design Outlet and you must purchase the tubes and obtain a license to be able to use them. Mura Meister Copies and Perspective Tiling Font of Choice - I used Adorable
Let's get started :-
Open a new image 600 x 250 pixels at 72dpi. Flood fill with white. Copy and paste your tube onto the canvas, apply Mura Meister Copies, Wallpaper Rotate:-
The an apply a motion blur twice with the following settings:-
Edge Effects - Enhance. Duplicate this layer. On the duplicate layer apply Mura Meister Perspective Tiling :-
Change the blend mode of this layer to Screen. Now with your freehand selection tool, draw around the central trapezium:-
Promote the selection to a layer , flip and change the blend mode to soft light. Copy and paste your tube and position to the right or left of the tag, to suit your tube. Add a drop shadow, then change the blend mode to Screen. Merge layers visible. Copy and paste your close up tube on the opposite side of the tag, resize and crop as necessary. Add drop shadow. Add a new raster layer, flood fill with black. Selections, select all, contract by 3 and hit delete. Selections none. Add your name ,copyright and license where necessary. I used the font adorable for my name, and added a Gradient Glow Now to animate. Copy your merged background layer and paste into Animation shop as a New Animation. Go to Effects, Insert Image Effect;-
On the effect drop down choose Stained Glass as above. You should end up with 10 frames. Back in PSP, close off the background layer, then right click into the image and copy merged. Paste this as a new animation in AS, then duplicate it so you have 10 frames. (I find the quickest way to do this is to click into the frame , then press CTRL and hit L for the number of copies you need ). Now click into the first frame of the background animation and hit Ctrl+A to select all frames, repeat this with the second animation, then drag the second animation over the first, be careful to position the edges correctly. If you are happy with your animation, save as a gif.
