Janesko Satin Touch

What you will need for this tutorial.

Paint Shop Pro

Tube of choice and close up. I'm using the stunning work of Jennifer Janesko . Jennifer's work is licensed through CILM and tubes and license can be purchased from them.

Mask of Choice (I used Becky Mask 22)

Scrap Kit Christmas Freebie from Butterfly Blush Designs

Filters - Mura Meister's seamless Mirror Diagonal

Font of Choice. I used Anglican Text

Open a new image 600x600 pixels at 72dpi.

Copy and paste a paper of choice from the scrap kit as a new layer , and apply your mask:-

mask layer

Now go to your Effects and apply a texture :-

I chose the crumpled paper texture on mine to give it more a fabricy look:-

Now apply Mura Meister's Seamless Mirror Diagonal onto your mask layer:-

Mirror Diagonal

Duplicate your mask layer and change the blend mode on the copy to hard light.

Copy and paste your close up and position slightly to the right on the mask layer. Select All. Float and the Modify - Feather and put 25 into the amount:-

Feather Selection

Now invert the selection and hit delete a few times on your keyboard - Selections None. The edges of your tube should now have a misted effect:-

Feathered Image

Now reduce the opacity of this layer to about 55 :-

Opacity 55

Now copy and paste your main tube, mirror and place slightly to the left as in my example. Add a drop shadow, Vertical -3, Horizontal 3, Opacity 40, Blur 6:-

Tube Drop Shadow

Now add a few of the elements from the scrap kit to suit your preferences and give then the same drop shadow as the tube.

Ok..... now we are going to make a text Brush to apply to our tag.

Open a new image about 250 x 250 transparent background. Using a font of choice (I used Anglican Text) type out your saying using the following settings:-

Brush Text Settings

Align the text centre of your canvas and convert to a raster layer, merge visible.

Now go to your Brush Tool and open the Brush Selection Box:-

Brush Selection

At the bottom right hand corner, click on Create Brush from Selection as arrowed above.

Give your brush a name , and add your name as its creator:-

Name Brush

You will now see your brush shown in your selections when you open them up:-

Brush Shown

Make your top mask layer active and add a new raster layer. Apply your brush adjusting it's size as necessary. I applied mine in white and changed the blend mode to Overlay then duplicated the layer.

My tag now looks like this:-

Brushed Tag

Using the same Font as you used to create your brush, add your name to your tag. I added mine onto the little tag from the scrap kit, and angled it as I had the tag. I also added the same drop shadow to the text as we did to the tube and elements.

Resize your tag is you don't want a large tag. I resized mine by 75% making sure that all layers was checked.

resize

Now add your copyright and any license number required.

You can now either merge all your layers and save as a jpeg, which will give you a white background, or delete the white background layer, then merge the other layers visible and save as a png.
