Rock On
What you will need for this tutorial:- Paint Shop Pro - (PSP) any version, mine was done in X2 Animation Shop (AS) Tube of choice - I am using the awesome work of Ismael Rac . Ismael's work is available from his site and you must purchase the tubes and obtain a license to be able to use them. Andrews Filters 2 - Little Box, Grid lines and Thrown About a Colour Wheel AAA Frames - Photo Frame Font of Choice - I used Arbuckle Fat
Let's get started :-
Open a new image 600 x 250 pixels at 72dpi. Copy and paste your tube onto the canvas.
The apply Andrews Filters 2 - White Box at default settings:-
. Duplicate this layer, mirror and arrange so that your tubes meet at the centre of the tag.. Merge these two layers together. Flood fill your background with a gradient made with a dark and light colour from your tube. Apply Andrews - Thrown About a Colour Wheel to this layer at the default settings:-
The next part of this will depend on your tube. Add a new raster layer.and then using your selection tool set at rectangle, carefully make a selection that goes around the white box area on your tube layer. Flood fill this with your gradient, then apply Andrews 2 - Grid lines at default:-
Change the blend mode of this layer to screen. Now type the words Rock On in a fat font. I used Arbuckle Fat. Angle this across the rectangle you just created and change the blend mode to Overlay. Copy and paste your tube and give it a drop shadow of choice. Add a new raster layer, flood fill with your gradient. Selections, select all. modify , contract by 3 and hit delete. Selections none. Apply AA Photo Frame :-
Add your name with a font of choice, I used Arbuckle Fat and used the vertical setting of the font.Aply Inner Bevel.
Add your artist copyright , license number and taggers mark if used. If you do not wish to animate, save as either a jpeg or png. To animate close off the main tube layer, frame, name and copyright layers. Make the light rectangle layer active, selections, select all, float defloat, copy merged and paste as a new animation in AS. Apply underwater effect with the following settings:-
You should have the following 5 waves set, Wave 1 - X -59, Y -40 Wave 2 - X 35, Y 70 Wave 3 - X -55, Y 49 Wave 4 - X18, Y 47 Wave 5 - X 5 Y -40 Delete the first frame. You should now have 5 frames in your animation. Back in PSP, selections none, copy merged and paste into As as a new animation. Duplicate this so that it has 5 frames. Ctrl +A to select all frames in both animations, then drag the underwater animation into it's position on your background animation. Make sure the rectangle sits perfectly over the background. In PSP, close off the layers from the Rock On text down, open the layers you had closed before, copy them merged and paste as a new animation in AS. Duplicate so they too have 5 frames, and position over the background, making sure the frame edge fits neatly all around. Change the frame properties to about 15. If you are happy with your animation, save as a gif.
