Pink Attitude

What you will need for this tutorial.

Paint Shop Pro (PSP) any version. I am using X2

Animation Shop (AS)

Tube of choice. I am using the work of Ismael Rac which is licensed through AMI. You must buy the tube from them and be licensed with them to use it.

Monti's Blinds Mask - Here - masks on the left hand navigation.

Filter - Mura Meister Copies

Script Font of choice - I used rage Italic

Let's get started.

Open a new image 450 x 450 pixels at 72dpi. Flood fill with white.

Add a new raster layer, flood fill with grey accent gradient - if you do not have this gradient, you need a three tone black, grey white gradient set at linear -Angle 0 -Repeats 10 . Apply the Monti's Blinds Mask to this layer.

Add a new raster layer, flood fill with the landscape gradient - three tone pinks and lilac. apply the same mask to this layer then resize by 95%. Merge these two layers together.

Go to effects texture, and use the Coarse canvas texture with the settings as below:-

You should now have something like this:-

Copy and paste the pink semi circle element from the supplies, resize by 60% and apply Mura Meister Copies Encircle :-

Now add Noise to this layer :-

Copy and paste the slinky and position across the centre of the shape you just made. Duplicate , flip and position so that they align to the centre. Merge these two layer together, resize by 75% and drop below the first shape.

Now copy and paste the button , duplicate 5 times and position one on each spoke of the shape. Merge all the layers of the shape together:-

Duplicate your merged layer 5 times to give you a total of 6 layers. Number these 1 - 6 in your layers palette. Close off layers 2 - 6.

With your magic wand , set to tolerance 14, click into the top left button:-

Change the brightness and Contrast of this as follows:-

Now x out Layer 1, open layer 2, and repeat this process on the top right button. Carry on with this step in a clockwise direction on the remaining layers.


Now with a script font , type out the words you want to use on the tag. I used "Pink isn't just a colour it's an attitude" I did mine in two layers so that the text showed above and below the left hand button. Change the blend mode to Multiply and reduce the opacity to about 72.




Now copy and paste your tube and move to the right hand side of the tag.

Add a drop shadow of choice to the tube and the shape layers.

Now add your name, artist copyright, license number where required and taggers mark if used.

We are now ready to animate the tag.

make sure you only have Layer 1 of the shape open, with the background layer active, right click into the image and copy merged:-

Take this to AS and paste into the workspace as a New Animation.This becomes Frame 1.

Now go back to PSP. close off Layer 1 and open Layer 2, take this into AS, right click into Frame 1 and paste after current frame.

repeat this for the remaining layers, always pasting the new frame after the last frame in your animation. You will end up with 6 frames.

Click into Frame 1 and the press Ctrl + A to select all frames. Right click into the frame and change the frame properties to 30 :-

Now save your tag as a gif.
