What you will need for this tutorial.

PSP . Mine was made with X2 but this should be possible in any version.

Animation Shop

Image and tube of choice. I used some wonderful art by Tony Mauro. Tony's work is licensed through AMI and you must obtain a license and buy tubes from them.

Font of choice, I am using Vivaldi.

Let's get started

Open a new image 650 x 650 pixels at 72dpi. Flood fill with white.

Take your rectangle pre set shape, and draw a rectangle across the canvas. Foreground colour a darkish colour from your tube, background black, line width 10.

Align centre in canvas and convert to a raster layer. Duplicate , and hide the duplicate layer for the time being.

Use your magic wand and select the black inside the rectangle. Now copy your image and paste into the selection. Go to Effects/Textures/Blinds and apply with the following settings:-

Blinds

Width 20,Opacity 100, Colour, - the colour from your tube you picked for the rectangle, Horizontal and Light from left/top both ticked.

Duplicate this layer, and on the original add a Gaussian Blur of 10:-

On the blurred layer add Mosaic- Antique:-

Columns and Rows 50, Symmetric Ticked, Tile Diffusion 70, Grout Width 2, Diffusion 50. Change the blend mode of this layer to Hard Light .

Resize both these layer by 95% and merge the two.

Now open the copy of the rectangle you first made, apply the blinds effect as before then rotate it 90 degrees.

Copy and paste your tube and fit into the blinds . use your eraser tool, or selection tool to remove any parts of the tube which overhang onto the frame. Apply a drop shadow of choice. I used Eye Candy 5, Impact, Perspective Shadow at Drop Shadow Lowest. Merge the tube with the rectangle layer.

You should now have something like this:-

Finished Rectangles

Now find your preset shape Octagon, and using a line style of choice, draw an octagon around the image using a line width of 2. Duplicate the layer, then convert the first one to a raster.

Take your text tool and with a font of choice, I used Vivaldi, hover the tool on the vector line, on the upper left slope until the A with a curve underneath appears. Then add your name or text of choice. Repeat this on the right hand slope.

Text position

In your layers palette, open up the eye on the vector layer, then x out the octagon shape:-

Text layers

Convert the text to a raster layer.

Resize your tag to suit your preference and add the copyright, license number where needed and your taggers mark if used.

If you do not wish to animate your tag, you can now either merge all layers and save as a jpeg, or delete the white background layer, merge visible and save as a png.

In your layers palette, hide the background and merged rectangle layers and merge all the remaining layers visible. You should be left with three layers.

Layers for Animation

Copy the raster 2 Layer, i.e. the merged rectangles layer with the mosaic effect, and paste as a new animation in Animation Shop.

Go to Insert Image Effect and find the Spiral in the drop down with these settings:-

Spiral Settings

You will now have ten frames.

Now copy the white background and paste as a new animation. Duplicate so you have 10 frames.

Click into the first white frame and hit Ctrl + A to select all frames. Do the same in the first frame of the swirled effect. Now drag and drop the swirled layer into the first white layer. try and place it in the centre of the frame.

Now go back to PSP and copy the third layer of your tag. This should be the layer with the tube, text and copyright etc. Paste it as a new animation, and again duplicate until you have 10 frames.

Select all the frames, and drag and drop into position in frame 1.

Now click into Frame 1 , hit Ctrl+A to select all frames, then paste as a new animation. Go to Animation - Reverse Frames :-

Reverse Frames

Now find and right click into Frame 10 of your original animation, and paste after current frame.

paste After Current

You should now have an animation with 20 frames. Right click into Frame 1, and set the Frame Properties to 20:-

Now run your optimization wizard and save your tag as a gif.
