Out of the Cauldron
What you will need for this tutorial:- Paint Shop Pro - (PSP) any version, mine was done in X2 Animation Shop (AS) Tube and Image of choice - I am using the awesome work of Lorenzo Di Mauro. Lorenzo's work is licensed and you must purchase tubes from his site to be able to use them. Mura Meister - Copies Eye Candy 5 - Nature - Smoke Eye Candy 4000 - Gradient Glow Font of Choice - I used Haunt AOE
Let's get started :-
Open a new image 600 x 250 pixels at 72dpi. Flood fill with white. Copy and paste your tube onto the canvas. Mura Meister Copies -Wallpaper Rotate:-
If there are any white gaps in the canvas, duplicate this layer, mirror and flip. Then merge the two layers together. Duplicate this layer. On the original layer ,change the blend mode to Burn. On the duplicated layer, Radial Blur-
Change the blend mode of this layer to Hard Light. Depending on your tube you might need to change the blend mode. You want to create almost a sunset . Merge layers visible. Copy and paste your tube, resize and position to the left of your tag. Crop to size and add a blurry drop shadow. I duplicated my tube to create more depth. Duplicate the tube layer, mirror and change the blend mode on the duplicate to Screen . X out the right hand side tube, then merge visible the rest. Duplicate the merged layer twice to give three layers. On the bottom layer , apply Eye Candy Nature - Smoke:-
Apply to the other two layers, hitting the random seed button on each. Add you name using a font of your choice. I used Haunt AOE. Position and when happy with it, convert to a Raster Layer. I added Eye Candy Gradient Glow, Width 3.00 , Medium. Add a new raster layer, flood fill with a dark colour from your tube. Select All, contact by2 and hit delete. Selections none. Add your artist copyright , license number and taggers mark if used. Now to animate the tag to finish it off. Make sure you have the top two of your background layers closed off. Right click into the open background layer, copy merged and paste into AS as a new layer. back into PSP, close off the bottom background and open the middle one. Right click and copy merged. Right click into your Frame 1 in AS and choose paste after current frame. Back in PSP, close the middle background and open the top one. Copy merged and right click into Frame 2. Paste after Current Frame. You should now have three frames in your animation in AS. Change the frame properties to 30. If you are happy with your animation, save as a gif.
