This tutorial was written by Helen in February 2008, using an image by Joel Adams. Joel's work is licensed to CILM and you need to purchase a license and the tubes to be able to use it. Any similarity to any other tutorial is coincidental.

Supplies Needed:-

Paint Shop Pro

Tube of choice

Grunge Brush of choice. I used Grunge Squares by Melfina which are available for download from Celestial Star

Bow or Accents of choice

Font of choice. I used Curlz which is a pay font so I am unable to share it.

My supplies ( includes Gabee Mask 13, please keep file name intact as that is a condition of sharing this mask and my Naughty Text Brush)

Please remember to save your work often as you go through the tutorial. There is nothing worse than losing everything if your PSP freezes or crashes when you are almost done. Also if you like to rename your layers as you go along, please do so.

Open all your supplies and minimise them until needed.

Open a new image 600x600 and flood fill white. New raster layer, flood fill with a colour to co-ordinate with your tube. I used #BC3774. Find your Gabee Mask 13, or your mask of choice and apply. Merge Group and then apply a drop shadow using the same colour as the mask layer. I used Vertical and Horizontal 1, Opacity 75, Blur 2. Your image should now look something like this:-

Masked Layer

Now take your selection tool, set to circle and draw out a circle in the centre of the mask. It needs to be slightly off centre to the left . Add a new raster layer, and with your mask colour as foreground apply a grunge brush of choice.

Brush Layer

Copy and paste your tube, and place to right hand side of the image. Add a drop shadow of choice. I used Lokas 3d at the Flat Faint Shadow preset.

Tube Layer

Add a new layer and drag it below your tube layer, so it sits between the tube and the grunge brush layer. Apply your Naughty Brush in a couple of places. I duplicated my brush layer to give it some added depth.

Naughty Brush Layer

Now add your bow or accents of choice around the tag to personalize it. Give them the same drop shadow as you did to the mask.

Accents Layer

Now we are going to add your name on the inside curve of the circle. X-out your tube layer , and with your preset tool set to circle, foreground black, background null, line width 2, draw a circle as a vector, about the same size as your grunge brush circle :-

Vector Circle

Now hover your text tool at the point arrowed on the above screen shot. You should bring up a little A with a curved line underneath it. Click and apply your text.

Font 1

Now locate the central node on the right hand side and pull it across from right to left, till your text looks like this:-

Font 3

Almost there- mirror the image , and using the central node move the text to a suitable position, adjust the size to suit your tag:-

Font 4

Click on the eye on your Vector layer in the Layers palette and x-out your circle :-

x-circle

Now convert your text to a raster layer and add the same drop shadow as you did before.

Open your tube layer back up then crop any excess white and resize your tag if necessary. Then add your copyright and any relevant license information.

Save your image as a psp image in the layers, you never know when you might need it again. The merge all your layers and save as a jpeg.
