Little Mermaid
Paint Shop Pro , any version. I am working with X2. Animation Shop Tube of choice - I have used a cute mermaid by Regan Kubecek . This tube was bought when Regan Kubecek's tubes were available through MPT. Filters - Italian Editors -Effetto Tv and Picture in Picture. Font of Choice - I used Chopin Script . Open a new image 600 x 250 pixels at 72dpi. Flood fill with white. Add a new raster Layer and flood fill with the Metallic Blue Gradient that comes with PSP with the following settings:-
Convert to a raster layer, then with your magic wand click inside the square, expand this selection by 4, add a new Raster Layer and drop below the square. Flood fill this with a pale shade from the gradient. Add a new layer, copy and paste your tube and position in the frame, resize to suit. Change the blend mode of this layer to Luminance Legacy. Drop shadow the tube and the frame. Merge these three layers, and make sure you are happy with the position of the square.
On the bottom layer, Add Noise:-
With the top tube layer active, add a new Raster Layer. Selections, Select All, Modify, Select Selection Borders, set at 8 :-
Now add your name, the copyright, license number where necessary and taggers mark if used. Making sure you only have the bottom main tube layer visible, right click into the image and copy merged. take this to Animation Shop , right click into the workspace and Paste as a New Animation. Back into PSP, x out the bottom tube layer, open the middle one, then right click and copy merged again. Right click onto your first frame in Animation Shop and Paste After Current Frame. Repeat this with your top layer, clicking into Frame 2 in Animation Shop. Save your tag as a gif.
To make the matching Avatar, back in PSP, copy the square frame and paste as a new image. Resize to 150 x 150 pixels and sharpen. Add copyright and your name or initial. Save as a jpeg or png.
