Lines of Love

Jensen Lines of Love

What you will need for this tutorial.

PSP - mine was made in X2 but it should be possible in any version.

Tube of choice - I am using the awesome work of Barbara Jensen . To use Barbara's work you need to be licensed and purchase your tubes from her site.

Scrap kit of choice - I am using Bed of Roses from Graphics Funhouse . Thank you Saskia for allowing me to use your kit.

Shape of choice - Mine was from a set called Not More Shapes, but as I do not know it's creator I'm afraid I cannot share it here.

Filters used - Filter Unlimited 2.0 - Edges Square and Special Effects 1

Let's get started

Open a new image 600x600 pixels, 72dpi resolution, and flood fill with white.

Copy and paste your chosen tube and move slightly towards the bottom of the image.

With white as your foreground colour, and a colour from your tube as the background colour, draw out your shape and place behind your tube. Position so that your tube sits nicely at the bottom of the shape. Go to Effects/Blinds and use the following settings , Width 4, opacity 20, Colour White and Horizontal and Light from Left/Top ticked:-

Blinds Settings

(If you do not have a preset shape similar to the one I used, draw out an ellipse, and also draw lines of varying widths to achieve the same effect. Apply the blinds on the ellipse layer)

Give your tube a nice soft drop shadow.

Now add some of the elements from your chosen scrap kit.

With as nice script font, write some loving lines on the lines of the shape, as if you were writing a letter.

At this stage I cropped off the excess white on my image and had this:-

Half Way

Now make your background layer active, and apply Filters Unlimited, Edges Square. I used Edge 03. Resize this layer at 105% Smart Size:-

Resize

Now add your name to the tag using the same font as you used for your writing. I increased the font size to 72 Pixels. Now find Special Effects 1 in Filters Unlimited and apply the Square Bumps at the default setting, Density 48, Shading 36:-

Square Bumps

Resize your tag to your preference. I resized mine by 80% Bi-Cubic. Sharpen as necessary.

Now add your copyright and any necessary license numbers and taggers mark.

Merge Visible and save as a png.
