Barbara's Web
What you will need for this tutorial:- Paint Shop Pro - (PSP) any version, mine was done in X2 Animation Shop (AS) Tube and Image of choice - I am using the awesome work of Barbara Jensen . Barbara's work is licensed through and you must purchase tubes from her site to be able to use them. Spider Tube from Corel - or Spider of Choice Mura Meister - Copies Screenworks - Canvas Mesh VM Instant Art - Spider Web Eye Candy 4000- Gradient Glow Font of Choice - I used Haunt AOE Let's get started :-
Open a new image 600 x 250 pixels at 72dpi. Copy and paste your tube onto the canvas. Mura Meister Copies - Wallpaper Perspective :-
Duplicate if necessary, and if you do then Mirror and Merge Visible. Duplicate. On the original image, Motion Blur:-
On the top layer apply Screenworks with the default Canvas Mesh setting, change the blend mode of this later to either Soft Light, or Overlay . Add a new Raster Layer and flood fill with a colour from your tube. Apply VM Instant Art - Spider Web
Change the Blend Mode of this layer to Screen Copy and paste you tube and position to the left of the tag. Add a blurry drop shadow. Crop to size. Now copy and paste the spider tube that is in the Corel Bugs Collection , place this to the upper right of your tag. Drop shadow. Duplicate and move down and to the right slightly. Repeat this until you only have a very small bit of the spider showing, and it is close to your main tube. Hide all bar your first spider. Add you name using a spooky font as a vector. I used Haunt AOE. Post ion and when happy with it, convert to a Raster Layer . Add an Inner Bevel and a Gradient Glow. Reduce the opacity of the name if you wish. Add a new raster Layer, Selections , Select All, Contract by 10, Selections Invert. Flood fill with white and change the Blend Mode to Soft Light. Add your artist copyright , license number and taggers mark if used. Now to animate the tag to finish it off. Make sure you only have the first spider layer open, copy merged your image and paste it as a new animation in AS. Go back to PSP, close off spider 1, and open the next one. Copy merged, then paste after current frame in AS. Repeat this process with all your spider layers, making sure you always paste the new frame after the last frame in AS. Hide the last spider layer, copy merged and paste as the final frame. Click into Frame 1 and press CTRL+A to select all frames. Change the Frame Properties to 40 . Now click into Frame 1 and change to 100, repeat this for the last frame. Save your tag as a gif.
